Care and Development Programs for Children ages 0 to 6 Years.
Infants: Birth to Age 2
At Play - Our goal is to create an environment similar to your home - safe, comfortable and creative surroundings that allow your child to develop and grow at his or her own pace.
Infants that are scooting/crawling play in a carpeted area with age appropriate toys to encourage movement, hand-eye coordination, and brain and social-emotional development.
Our caregivers know the importance of regular communication with infants so they are included in the action as much as possible.
Crying babies are attended to immediately.
Diapers (supplied by parents) are checked every two hours or as needed with proper hand-washing and area sanitizing after each infant change.
At Rest - Sleeping infants are placed on their backs in their own play pens, which are kept clean with environmentally safe products, and are monitored with sight and sound. We practice Safe Sleep techniques and our caregivers receive training for infant care.
At Feedings - We advocate feedings before the child gets very hungry, and we feed according to physician or parent instruction.
Breast milk or formula-filled bottles are provided by parents.
Nursing mothers are given a private and comfortable area in which to nurse.
Jarred food is introduced according to parent instruction and older infants may participate in the food program (see meal plan menu).
Toddlers and Preschool: Ages 2 - 4
The transition to "away from home" care for children at this age can be difficult initially, so we try to make it easier for both kids and parents by creating a fun and happy atmosphere - a place the children look forward to coming to each day to experience new things and interact with others.
At this stage children are a busy group. We keep them enaged through structured indoor play, story time (reading to kids is so important at every age, but particularly now), outdoor fun, and a variety of age appropriate, skill-building activities in the subjects of language, math, science and social studies.
Once a child is potty-trained, knows the letters, numbers (1-10) and colors, and can follow a two-step direction, she or he will graduate to the Playhouse, where the activities are a bit more challenging.
Pre-K and Kindergarten: Ages 4 - 6
Our goal is to prepare children for school. Between the ages of 3 and 4, kids really take an interest in using letters to build words and numbers to play basic math games.
Our Pre-K and Kindergarten children also practice writing letters and numbers.
Again, at PamMomm'E, we differentiate ourselves by really targeting the abilities and personalities of each individual child - the results speak for themselves.
Most PamMomm'E graduates test at the first grade level!
After School Programs
Many of the kids that graduated from PamMomm'E Child Kare and Learning Playhouse return for after school care. Activities are based on the age of the kids.
Second Shift Care
For some parents, a regular work day actually starts at 5PM or later. PamMomm'E offers "second shift" care between the hours of 5:30PM and Midnight. If you are in need of second shift hours call for an appointment @ 317-927-7265 or email us [email protected]
Other Care
PamMomm'E offers "special event" care, including overnight stays, so that parents of enrolled students can enjoy a "date night" once in a while. See News and Special Offers for more information on these events.
